COOKIE POLICY

 Introduction to Cookies in General

Pursuant to the provisions of Article 13 of European Regulation no. 679/2016 (Regulation on the protection of natural persons in relation to the processing of personal data, hereinafter, “GDPR”), B&B Italia S.p.A. (hereinafter, "B&B" or the "Company"), provides the users of the domain www.bebitalia.com (hereinafter, “Users”) with the following information on the cookies installed on the aforementioned domain (hereinafter, “Website”) or by other domains accessible through the Website itself (“Third Parties”).

WHAT ARE COOKIES

Cookies are small text files that are stored and/or read by the browser on the hard disk of the computer or on another device (tablet, smartphone, laptop, etc.) when websites are visited (hereinafter, “Cookies”).

Cookies can be first-party or third-party, where “First-Party” means Cookies whose domain is the Website visited and which were installed on the User’s device by the editor of the Website (in this case, B&B Italia S.p.A.), whereas “Third-Party” means Cookies related to external domains. In fact, “Third-Party” Cookies are configured by a different website from the one the User is visiting. This is because on each website there may be elements (images, maps, sounds, specific links to web pages of other domains, etc.) that are located on different servers from the server of the website visited.

Cookies can be stored permanently on the User’s computer and their duration is variable (so-called persistent Cookies), but they can also disappear when the browser is closed or have a limited duration (so-called session Cookies).

PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA USING COOKIES

Some types of Cookies process data only in an anonymous and aggregated form. Other types of Cookies, on the other hand (so-called “Marketing Cookies”), process Personal Data belonging to Users (hereinafter, “Data”). With regard to the Data collected using First-Party Marketing Cookies, B&B provides its Users, through this Cookie Policy, with information about how it is processed. With regard, on the other hand, to Data collected using Third-Party Marketing Cookies, Users can find information concerning how it is processed in the policies of the Third Parties, which are available via the links shown in this Policy corresponding to those Cookies.

Data collected using First-Party Marketing Cookies may be processed by employees and collaborators in the company departments assigned to pursue the purposes cited above, who have been expressly authorised to process it and have received appropriate operational instructions. This Data may also be processed by trusted companies that perform technical and organisational tasks on our behalf. These companies are our direct collaborators and they act as data processing contractors. In particular, with regard to the Data processing performed through the Website, we have appointed a company that provides the hosting service and Data backup for the Website. In addition, it may be processed by external operators acting as autonomous data controllers, including by way of example, supervisory and auditing authorities and bodies.

The Data collected may be transferred outside of the European Union. Such transfer will be performed in accordance with the provisions of applicable law, including Articles 44, 45 and 46 of the GDPR, and the decisions regarding adequacy adopted by the European Commission and also, if necessary and in the absence of decisions on adequacy, by concluding agreements that guarantee an adequate level of protection and/or by adopting the standard contractual clauses provided by the European Commission.
