SYMPHONIAE
Quality has a form, a feel, a sound.
On the occasion of Paris Design Week, Maxalto and Steinway & Sons, both brands renowned for their exceptional legacies, have partnered for an exclusive event at Maxalto showroom in rue du Bac, following the successful concerts held in New York and Munich Maxalto flagship stores. On 4th September Maxalto design met the music of Steinway & Sons, both sharing the same values of excellence, quality and craftsmanship. In the evening guests experienced an atmosphere that went beyond the constraints of time and space.
Amidst the enchanting melodies of pianist Pablo Esquivel, who enhanced the event with unique music dedicated to the exclusive partnership, attendees got the opportunity to enjoy some time together while celebrating the unmatched artistry and legacy embodied by both companies. Pablo Esquivel played the Steinway Spirio, a true revolution in the world of piano: the groundbreaking system faithfully reproduces an artist’s performance with extraordinary precision, bridging distances and uniting people through what matters most—music.

STEINWAY & SONS (Joe)
Since 1853, the name Steinway & Sons has been synonymous with the finest grand and upright pianos. Passion and dedication, perfection and quality, reliability and, finally, the inimitable sound are just some of the characteristics that people all over the world associate with these high-quality instruments. Steinway Spirio, the unique self-playing system, also takes pianists and listeners into completely new worlds of sound and allows them to immerse themselves in musical spheres that only Steinway can offer.
Pablo Esquivel
At seven years old, Pablo Esquivel watched August Rush and told his parents he would one day attend Juilliard. Just three years later, he became the first Central American admitted to its piano program. Before leaving his native Costa Rica, he performed with the National Symphony Orchestra—followed by appearances at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and Berlin’s Mercedes-Benz Arena. After graduating from Juilliard, Pablo studied at Berklee College of Music and later pursued composition at the Mannes School of Music in New York, under Missy Mazzoli. Alongside his musical journey, he was deeply influenced by thinkers like Erich Fromm and Viktor Frankl, which led him to explore music’s connection to identity, healing, and meaning. Collaborations with Steinway & Sons brought him into nursing homes, where he saw the emotional power of music firsthand. These encounters helped shape his artistic path, and solidified his belief in the synergy between psychology, wellness, and music. In 2024, at 25, Pablo released Logo—a cinematic EP redefining contemporary classical music. His newest work, Being of a Flower, inspired by Eckhart Tolle, embraces solo piano and improvisation, inviting listeners into a space of mindfulness and quiet discovery. In February 2025, he gave an immersive performance at the Grand Rex in Paris during the AI Summit, fusing music with neuroscience and intelligent technology. Pablo Esquivel is not just composing music —he is redefining how it’s experienced, felt, and share.
